We are looking for parents to join our board. We are looking for those who can dedicate time and resources to the league. We need hard working people who want to make a positive difference in our players lives. We will continue to shut down the snack bar if volunteers don't step up. The snack bar is not driven by hired folks, it's operated by parents from our teams. Some have signed up and others haven't, and we need you. All we ask is for each team to assign 8 parents to help on any given day and time. We only ask of this "once" per season. I hope that after today, everyone can see how important volunteering is. We hope too soon have all our snack bar volunteer slots filled and all windows will be open at the park on game days. Again I want to thank all of those who were able to help today and even to those who noticed our struggles and jumped in. We all have a vested interest in Northwest Baseball and its future. Ask your coach about how to get your team signed up to help. If you are a parent or other family member who would like to help out in the snack bar, outside your teams day/time slot reach out to me at nwbaseballvp@gmail.com

It's time to kick off our Spring 2023 season. We hope everyone has an enjoyable time at Northwest Baseball. Remember we are here for the kids. This season doesn't define them going to the majors, it's about a good experience and getting that snack after the game. So have fun and enjoy a great season of baseball.
We also need to thank our President Tammie Gerecke, She is a champion for all our athletes and works so many long hours to make sure everything runs as smooth as possible each season. So thank you Tammie for all you do!
Thanks again everyone!

Spring 2023 Information:
A few details:
Northwest baseball is a hardball league for Ages 4-15 (for the Spring 2023 seasons, we use what the player's age will be as of April 30, 2023).
The fees include 16 games, a jersey and hat. NO playoffs once the season ends.
Games will be played during the week and on Saturdays. Times vary each week and depend on how many teams are in the division. All games are played at 4009 Chester Bakersfield, CA 93301.
The season will start March 18th and end in May.
Practices are scheduled by the volunteer coach. Days and time vary, depending on coaches personal schedule.
Sportsmanship is so important in all sports, including baseball. This Regional Tournament moment should stick with all of us as we get ready to kick off our Fall season.
Thanks American Business Machines for all the help with our internet network at Northwest Baseball.

WE HOPE TO HAVE OUR GAME CAMS BACK SOON, WE ARE UPGRADING!
**Northwest Baseball has gone high tech! If you have loved ones who won't be able to make the tournament, we have you covered! If your team plays on fields 5,6,7,8 they will be live each day. The fee to watch the games is FREE, but donations are accepted on the camera page and helps with our streaming costs! All you have to do is go to the LIVE CAM tab at the top of our website and select your field.
*NOTE: We will not take calls or emails about plays you may disagree with on our feeds, the umpires are the last call!!
Thanks for joining us at Northwest Bakersfield Baseball!
SCOREBOARDS WILL BE DOWN FOR REPAIR!
We ask that only adults operate them. They are $900 each to replace. Watch the video and it will walk you step by step on how to use the controller. When your game is over please return and plug the controller in the room behind the bathrooms. You will see a table where they are stored. Good luck this Spring.

We are proud and excited for our newest NL CY YOUNG winner Corbin Burnes. Corbin grew up in Bakersfield, and played all his younger years at Bakersfield Northwest Baseball. His dad Rick Burnes served as a board member and coached many years at the park. But it was a family affair, his mom Kandi Burnes also spent many hours at the park helping run our many tournaments. Again congratulations to Corbin on this major accomplishment in his career!
THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR GENEROUS PARTNERS
