The weather for our 2018 Southwest Regional Tournament is going to be dry and very hot. We can't stress enough to make sure your athlete is well hydrated. Make sure they are drinking a mix of water & gatorade. It's important that they get a balance of liquids and electrolytes. If anyone is feeling over heated during the tournament we will have a first aid station set up in our our board room behind the bathrooms.
We want all of you to have a safe and enjoyable time this week!
Northwest Bakersfield Baseball
Congratulations to former Northwest Bakersfield Baseball player, Corbin Burnes, called up this morning for his first time to the major leagues!!!
Corbin played his little league years at Northwest from 2003-2010, coached by: Andy Sweaney, Rick Burnes, Rob Hallum, Rick Millan, Nick Harker, Frank Maitia, Chris Brewer, and Adam O'Daniel prior to playing for and graduating from Centennial High School and St Mary’s College.
"Burnes, a Bakersfield native and Centennial High School graduate, was promoted to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday (July 8, 2018). It will be the first exposure to big-league regular-season action for the 23-year-old right-handed pitcher."
Congratulations and good luck Corbin!

SUMMER 2018 ALL STAR TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Here's a list of when and where all of our Northwest All Stars will be playing this summer.
We will be hosting 6 tournaments at our Northwest fields this summer and you are invited to come out and watch some great games and to root on our teams.
How the all-star trail works:
In order to move onto the next tournament, the team has to win or, in some tournament trails, they will take the top 2 teams to move on to the next tournament.
This is a fun and exciting time for all the players and they make a ton of memories along the way.
Good Luck Northwest All Stars!
