HONORING FORMER VP JEFF WILLIAMS

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeff Williams, a beloved and long-time member of the Northwest Bakersfield Baseball family. Jeff passed away on August 28th after a short battle with cancer. Jeff dedicated over 20 years to the league, most recently retiring as our Vice President. Throughout his time with us, he poured countless hours into ensuring the success and growth of youth baseball in our community. His commitment, passion, and love for the game were felt in every corner of the league, both on and off the field.

Jeff’s presence at the ballpark was a constant. He was always there with a smile, offering a helping hand, providing guidance, and supporting our young players. His leadership, generosity, and unwavering belief in the power of youth sports will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with him. He touched the lives of so many—from players and coaches to fellow board members—always putting the kids first and fostering a positive, supportive environment for them to grow and thrive.

Though we will no longer see Jeff’s familiar face at the park or hear his many tales, his legacy at Northwest Bakersfield Baseball will never fade. We are all better for having known him, and the impact he had on our league will live on in the memories of everyone he touched.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jeff’s family during this incredibly difficult time. We ask that the entire Northwest Bakersfield Baseball community join us in honoring his memory and the remarkable contributions he made to our league.

Rest in peace, Jeff. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will never be forgotten.
